At once modern and rugged, elegant and understated, this intimate Amangiri elopement is proof that creating beautiful designs in the most remote places is always well worth it.

DULCE & DENNIS | FULL WEEKEND BUYOUT

Dulce and Dennis are truly special people - both with unique backgrounds, vibrant, genuine personalities and an obvious, unconditional devotion and love for one another. Right from the beginning, we knew that their wedding day needed to be the ultimate celebration; emanating not only their relationship, but also their shared appreciation for nature and adventure.

Utilizing both the vastness of the property and the high-end style of the common areas, we designed this special Amangiri event to be both raw and wild, but also extravagant and luxurious. Our couple chose to completely personalize their special weekend and treated their guests to multiple resort activities and experiences. From a guided hike of Antelope Canyon to world renowned, luxury spa services - their guests enjoyed a truly idyllic, 5 star weekend.

We spent over a year working on this intricate design, with multiple trips to the resort to ensure our vision would translate as intended in the space. We used unique areas that had never been utilized for a wedding before, creating a truly one of kind event for our special couple.

The ceremony, intended to capture the vastness of the desert, was minimalistic and organic in style. Earthy, dried floral arrangements scattered the pathway and an asymmetrical modern arbor framed the couple. The Sons of Serendip, a famous classical quartet, added to the already magical mood with their incredible live processional songs.

A 6 foot tall, three-piece seating chart, specially designed and created by us, with custom vinyl decals by Carta Plena, welcomed guests into the Mesa Breezeway, where two long, candlelit tables waited for their arrival. To make the grand breezeway feel romantic and intimate we had sheer, flowing material suspended from the ceiling and trailing down to create a curtain, which hid the space from guests until it was time for the grand reveal.

Amangiri is where our sweet couple’s engagement began and is a place that now holds life’s most monumental moments. There are no words to describe the remote location, stunning venue and extravagant ammenties that are Amangiri. We’ll leave you with this - The morning after the wedding, the resort arranged for a private helicopter ride up to a mesa for a sunrise photo shoot, where the newlyweds soaked in the first quiet moments of the day as husband and wife.

A message from our bride:

“Manda from Mae&Co Creative, and her whole team are incredible women, that are masters at what they do. Manda is basically Wonder Woman - she will go above and beyond to understand what your dreams are and what the vision for your wedding is, and she will make sure to exceed every single expectation you had, and blow it out of the park. She will take the time to get to know you as a couple, to make sure she can portray YOU on your special day, and not do a "copy/paste" version of some other event, like a lot of people in the industry do, and she will understand your dreams, and make each of them come true - even the ones you didn't even know you had. She is kind, caring, outstandingly creative, and all in all, the best person ever to be our partner in crime for this magical day. She will take care of every detail, every vendor, every hurdle there is to make sure you are take care of, and will make you feel SO pampered through the whole process.”

KIERA & AHMED | MICRO WEDDING WEEKEND

Kiera and Ahmed’s elegant Amangiri wedding is proof that a small guest count is the perfect excuse for unconventional elegance. From the beginning, Kiera and Ahmed valued the intimacy and sacredness that a small guest count would bring to their wedding weekend at Amangiri. And we know know that sometimes it’s the tiniest details, and the most intentional relationships, that make all the difference.

When we started designing this wedding at Amangiri, we knew our couple wanted to pair ethereal elegance with organic minimalism. With a small, intimate guest count we wanted to amplify the vast feeling of the surrounding desert by making every detail feel as if it was growing out of Amangiri’s natural landscape. We created our ceremony design atop the desert lounge ledge with a backdrop of mirrored pillars to reflect the surrounding desert landscape. We loved working with Siren Floral Co to bring our edgy and earthy design to life with monochromatic floral clusters that cascaded effortlessly through the space.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed drinks at a custom cocktail bar before wandering to the reception site. Set in the private Raven’s Nest space overlooking Amangiri, we wanted this beautiful location to speak for itself. Hidden within the curves of desert sandstone, we designed an overhead, tunnel-like structure with draped chiffon to create an ethereal, romantic space in the cliffs. Layering texture on texture, lush florals swirled around clusters of organic rocks and dramatic taper candles. Our luxury tablescape design featured neutral sand linens to complement the colors of Amangiri, and we elevated the natural, desert vibes by incorporating hand-dyed linens and bone-colored ceramics. This reception set up for 15 guests took three team members eight hours in the direct sun with 103 degree weather - but when we saw our couple settle into the cliffside for their reception we knew instantly it was all worth it.

These two ended their evening enjoying a hookah lounge under the starry skies - en experience they’ll remember for a lifetime.

KIERA & AHMED | REHEARSAL DINNER

Hidden deep within Amangiri’s surrounding rock formations is the Chinle Site, a unique and atmospheric setting for fine dining amid the natural serenity of the desert. The day before their wedding, Kiera and Ahmed invited an intimate group of guests to enjoy cocktails, a private dinner and live music in a dramatic and chic space.

While the wedding day was an earthy and neutral affair, this rehearsal dinner at Amangiri was inspired by Kiera’s vision of bright red and pink monobloom arrangements. Designed with drama, we styled this tablescape with elegant textural details including edgy glassware, black brushed flatware, and blush candles growing up from the lush floral clusters.

A modern and dramatic affair, this intimate dinner party at Amangiri set a tone for this luxury desert wedding under the Utah sky.

STEPHANIE & JUSTIN | INTIMATE WEDDING

Choosing to elope gives you the freedom to be intentional and plan your day around details and experience, which allows you to fully connect and be present as you begin your marriage together. When Stephanie and Justen came to us and asked if we could help them “plan a Zoom wedding” in the middle of Amangiri’s 600-acre remote landscape, we knew this day would be special. We knew that this was about more than just setting up a tripod, it was an opportunity to help them invite family into their elopement in a way that felt intentional and thoughtful – Covid be damned.

While this wedding was incredibly intimate with a nine-person guest list, don’t underestimate the work that goes into planning, designing or styling a small elopement. Just because there are less people on the guest list, does not mean there is less time spent choosing locations, colors, textures, vendors, candlesticks, napkins, furniture, plates - We take great care in designing experiences where every detail holds meaning and the couple can step back and truly experience the effortless elegance of their day.

For Stephanie and Justen, we love the unique challenge of designing a day steeped in tradition yet filled with innovation. The ceremony design incorporated traditional Jewish ceremony elements, including blessings over two cups wine, breaking of the glass, signing of ketubah, but we elevated the chuppah to incorporate a modern, luxe feel with sculptural and dramatic blooms and pampas grass.

And while this wasn’t the first luxury wedding at Amangiri that we’ve designed and styled, we loved that this elopement gave us the opportunity to explore new areas throughout the property. Amangiri is more than a luxury hotel, it’s a staggering landscape of canyons, mesas, mountains, and desert with so many unique locations. For Stephanie and Justen’s ceremony, we designed a unique floor plan at the Desert Lounge that prioritized sweeping landscape views to frame our couple. For the reception, we helped our vendors navigate from the intimate pavilions at Camp Sarika to the atmospheric Chinle Site – the ideal place for private dining and performances in the desert. At the stunning Chinle Site, we created a timeless tablescape with a sand, white, gold, and cream color palette. These neutral tones fell together perfectly amid the natural serenity of the desert, and the arid textures of lunaria, dried florals paired with the soft textures of cheesecloth runners and place setting details created a delicate, understated feel.

In addition to designing and styling this Amangiri elopement, we loved planning all of the nuanced timing and events throughout the day. While you might not think you need a planner for an intimate wedding or elopement, trust us, you’ll be so thankful to have someone seasoned in coordinating details, working behind the scenes to bring your day to life. For Stephanie and Justen, we helped them set up a Zoom experience that invited loved ones to not only watch but also participate in the elopement. We set up iPhones, tripods, and microphones to make sure guests were virtually present to experience every moment – from listening to the swells of live music as Stephanie walked down the aisle to chiming in to give a toast from the comfort of their own homes, we loved being able to create connections between our couple and their guests, both near and far. We also helped them add unique details throughout their day, including live music at multiple sites, a live painter who captured the ceremony experience in real time to preserve their elopement, and live performances from Navajo musicians to honor the site and enrich the meaning of their experience.

We’re so proud of this stunning, unique desert wedding and the incredible team that helped make this beauty come to life, especially in a time when having your wedding as planned can be so difficult, but so worth it.

Designing beautiful spaces in remote corners of the world brings us so much joy - we’re so thrilled to share this one with you

Penny & Randy’s Wedding

Luxurious intimacy in the heart of the Mojave: Penny and Randy’s Joshua Tree elopement was a perfect day spent celebrating their wedding with the desert as their witness.

Pre-COVID these two made plans to get married at an Italian villa, and we wanted to do everything we could to bring all of the pieces about Italy they loved most – elevated cuisine, natural elegance and upscale fashion – to the desert close to home.

Our couple chose a design-forward AirBnb for their private, two-person elopement in Joshua Tree. Sol to Soul, their intimate Pioneertown retreat, has been recognized by Conde Naste as the “coolest AirBnb in California” filled with one-of-a-kind pieces of art, textiles and interior design finishes. The minimalist, high-desert hidden site was the perfect spot for their intimate elopement ceremony and private reception. Surrounded by ancient juniper, desert oak trees and enchanting wilderness, the rugged terrain gave our couple the sense of being far from home, in a world completely their own.

Every detail about this day felt so intimate and intentional. Penny spent the morning doing her own makeup and facetiming her daughter; she and Randy shared a bottle of bubbly to toast to a day that felt freed of convention to be exactly what they wanted it to be.

For their ceremony, we knew we wanted to create an established, unique space for Penny and Randy to say their vows to one another in the middle of the desert. Inspired by a lush, bohemian aesthetic, we used a jute rug and a rattan arch backdrop adorned by florals and foraged earth elements from the surrounding space. As they walked forward to share their personal vows at this unique set up, local musicians played in the distance, creating an unplugged ceremony to remember.

As the sun fell, Penny and Randy enjoyed a luxurious dinner for two cooked by a private chef in the comfort of their AirBnb. We designed a lush, bohemian tablescape for our couple that elevated the surrounding nature. The tablescape featured unique rattan chargers, adding to the chic boho vibes. And we filled the table with pink glassware, blush taper candles and peachy-pink macaroons (a long-time favorite sweet for these two) to add pops of color and dimension. Branches and rocks along the tablescape added warm depth, and the earthy stoneware gave this reception dinner a classy yet boho vibe. The florals elevated the design too, as the tall and organic installations framing the table added a dramatic flair.

This personal, private elopement with 360-degree views of Joshua Tree was one for the books. Every detail, from pink salt in terracotta ceramics to naturally foraged stones mixed with lush florals made this day a perfect example that intimate elopements can be every bit as intentional and detailed as a big show-stopping weddings – but you’ll get to enjoy every moment with the person you love most.

Andrea & John’s Wedding

Andrea and John. These these two and their intimate wedding in Joshua Tree revitalized me in ways I didn’t know I needed. From the minute I received Andrea’s inquiry over three years ago, I knew that we were meant to be. Every single message from her was so full of love and appreciation and trust. After postponing her day four times, we finally got to create the most magical elopement in the middle of the desert for her and her man.

Working in the desert never fails to inspire us – and this Joshua Tree wedding embodies everything we love about destination desert weddings. The Mojave desert is full of texture, and there’s something otherworldly about the ways branches and blooms carve out space through the landscape. And there’s nothing we love more than incorporating all the textures and meaningful elements to throw one hell of a party.

Taking inspiration from desert landscape around Tierra Del Sol, a luxury Joshua Tree wedding venue, we designed Andrea and John’s ceremony to feel like a private desert oasis. In a space filled with giant boulders, sprawling pines and panoramic mountain views, we amplified the desert landscape with an ethereal, sculptural ceremony design. The branch-style arbor designed by Brier & Ivy featured lush, neutral blooms and natural desert rocks. And we pulled in pine details and granite touches throughout to create a cohesive look and feel.

While we love planning destination desert weddings, we wanted to create a day that represented Andrea and John. Not us, not any other desert weddings we created in the past - we only want to design an entire experience that feels unique to our clients, down to every last, tiny detail. Andrea told me that she grew up going back and forth between Italy and her home in the Pacific Northwest, and Italy is where she and John fell in love under the Tuscan sun. And I knew that I wanted to bring a touch of Italian magic to this luxury desert elopement.

For their tablescape design, we paired white and gold lace with Tuscan linens. Textures table linens are having a moment, and this was such a perfect choice to amplify desert textures with European elegance. Our design featured natural desert stones, taupe and off-white dinnerware, gold flatware and touches of mauve and blush throughout fabrics and florals - every element working in tandem to create a perfect end to this dreamy Joshua Tree wedding.

Andrea and John ended the day feeding each other slices of pizza and dancing under the moonlight, finding their own Italian paradise in the heart of the California desert. And we couldn’t be more in love with the way we got to bring this day to life.

Madeline & Mikell’s Wedding

This upscale, organic forest wedding represents everything we stand for: we don’t want to just create the most magical days. We want to create days beyond your wildest dreams.

Madeline and Mikell’s wedding day was a dream come true. Their vision of an upscale, camping vibe set in the middle of the woods with a modern and elegant edge was not something we took lightly. It took three days to set up (in triple digit heat!), several weeks of building and packing, months of organizing and coordinating, a year of planning, a full crew of eight Mae&Co team members and a whole host of other vendors to bring this to life but at the end of the day, the hero at the core of this experience is our couple; who trusted us completely from day one to design, build, source and create a magical weekend for them.

When we started designing this wedding at Loloma Lodge, we knew our couple wanted to pair elegance with an upscale camp feel that reflected their love for the natural beauty in the Pacific Northwest. Madeline and Mikell wanted their day to feel straight out of a fairytale, without feeling too feminine or over-the-top girly, so we worked to create an organic, masculine vibe that would leave every guest walking away feeling like they just experienced a weekend that was completely unique and unexpected.

Our ceremony design was inspired by a garden of dreams, in the middle of the forest. We loved working with Color Theory Design to bring our upscale, extravagant garden vision to life by creating wild floral installations growing up from the earth along the aisles – leading up to a lush floral installation on the riverside arbor. And as a small, thoughtful nod to our bride’s Oregon upbringing, we covered the ceremony benches with Pendleton's iconic Oregon-made wool blankets.

After the ceremony, guests found their table seats using our custom-built seating chart filled with mini margarita bottles. We knew the reception was going to be a highlight of the wedding day experience (our couple really wanted this day to feel like an extravagant camping retreat for adults), so we went all out covering the reception area in a blanket of twinkle lights, making the entire space feel otherworldly in the middle of the forest.

Our modern table design featured raw, natural linens, modern, black taper holders and taupe pillar candles to complement the lush living garland running down the table. We elevated the masculine, earthy vibes by adding smoke colored glassware and stoneware dinner plates. Every detail worked in tandem to create a perfect balance of elegance and earthiness.

As guests enjoyed a curated reception experience with live music, custom cocktails, whiskey tastings and gourmet s'mores, we watched the bride and groom pull each other close on the dance floor to take it all in. This is why we do what we do. Our all-inclusive full-service packages are designed to let you enjoy their entire weekend, not just one day, because we are all in on making sure you experience every moment surrounding the best day of your life.

Stephanie & Will’s Wedding

After 14-plus years together and a postponed wedding a month before the date due to lockdown, Stephanie and Will finally said “I do” during an upscale, industrial wedding at the Foundry in NYC

Working in New York is an all-time fave – and this venue is one of the most unique spots in the city. Stephanie and Will hosted their luxe wedding in two of the Foundry’s most iconic spaces: a romantic ceremony in the modern greenhouse followed by a reception on the rooftop terrace with striking views of the Manhattan skyline.

Taking inspiration from the chic greenery space, we designed Will and Stephanie’s ceremony to feel like a magical and enchanted secret garden set in the city. In a space already filled with lush greenery, we leaned into a neutral-centric color palette of ivories and cream to create a chic and sophisticated vibe, with pops of green to elevate the natural beauty of the greenhouse space. We lined the aisle with candle clusters to create a minimal and chic entry leading to a showstopping ceremony installation. The lush floral arch designed by Good Seed Floral featured touches of champagne, beige and blush to create a cohesive look and feel characterized by modernity and elegance – all brought to life with dynamic hydrangeas, roses and neutral blooms.

Stephanie and Will came alive in this ceremony space. “Our ceremony was one of the most meaningful and special parts of our day,” Stephanie shared. She reflected: “My little sister curated the music, Will’s dad officiated our ceremony with the most personalized, thoughtful, and heartfelt program, and we exchanged our personal vows and shared our love for each other in front of our loved ones.” It was a moment in time that they’ll cherish forever, set in a lush, organic urban greenhouse.

After the ceremony, the guests filtered into the sprawling outdoor courtyard space for cocktail hour and a reception. We sourced modern, black details for signage and table numbers to mirror the industrial framing through the Foundry’s space. The design details were minimal and modern – drawing attention to the lush, garden-inspired florals and a clear tent illuminated by candlelight and thousands of lights twinkling atop the canopy

The ceiling of twinkle lights above the reception tables created a true statement piece, creating the feeling that guests were transported to a magical, ethereal garden scene elevated high above the buzz of New York City. Underneath the canopy, we styled the reception tables with pearl chargers, rose gold flatware and chic crystal glassware to create a charmed, polished feel. We paired flowing, white runners atop neutral tablescape linens to set a crisp, timeless base for a table graced with blushes and golds in the florals and table setting details.

Every detail from this wedding felt so intentional. It’s easy to focus on one element like a color scheme or florals or the tablescape. But looking at the entire picture and pulling all elements, all details through - that’s what creates magic. The bride carried so much of her own personal style into the day too, wearing two Berta wedding dresses – an elegant long sleeve white gown for the ceremony and dinner, followed by a sparkling sheer gown to dance the night away.

Nathalie & Eddie’s Wedding

This multi-day intimate forest wedding surpassed our wildest dreams. A year of planning and design, over 22 vendor teams, 9 Mae&Co crew members, 16 hour days spent running, hanging, moving, lifting, laughing, solving, dancing… it’s hard to describe everything that went into these three glorious days in the middle of the forest with Nathalie and Eddie’s most special people and the most magnificent details.

When Nathalie and Eddie shared their initial vision for their wedding day, we connected instantly. They wanted to host an intimate weekend long celebration at Loloma Lodge. Eddie told us: “when Nathalie and I got engaged, she threw out the idea of getting married in the woods in Oregon. It was the last place we had visited before COVID-19, and we both felt a connection to the area and a desire to go back.” They knew that they wanted nature to be at the forefront of an incredible, communal experience for their guests. And they also knew that they wanted to skip the trending neutral and blush hues and go all out with mood jewel tones and lean into a retro boho vibe. Done and done.

For this unique multi-day wedding we created three entirely different designs: a vintage boho vibe for an evening welcome dinner; a moody and ethereal forest feel for the wedding day, and a simple jewel tone and retro farewell brunch.

On Friday, guests arrived to a forest space filled with lush and inviting ‘70s vibes. Custom created rattan installations floated over tables filled with boho pampass grass florals and retro table linens. Our tablescape featured unique and quirky materials including amber colored glassware, oatmeal velvet napkins and orange dried palm leaves atop each place setting.

After a night of revelry, we got to work designing a wedding day filled with all the deep, jewel tones. In the ceremony space, Color Theory Design Co. created wild and organic floral arrangements that appeared to grow naturally out from the forest floor and branches. We created wisteria-like installations to create a whimsical feel and a magical, intimate space.

We love creating custom installations for our couple, and this extravagant wedding called for something a little extra. So we built a unique champagne wall seating chart and a structure to go over the dinner tables - complete with hanging, candlelit glass globes to create an ethereal and romantic vibe. This forest wedding tablescape was such a fun challenge, as we sourced pearlescent dinner chargers, velvet table linens and vibrant teal napkins to pair with bold black accents.

And before sending their guests off, we designed a final farewell brunch with all the minimal and retro vibes. We played with bold orange, yellow and mustard linens and stayed true to the weekend’s jewel tone theme with a teal pop of color for our water glasses.

Nathalie and Eddie were the most genuine, sweet and hilarious humans. They challenged us creativity and trusted us wholeheartedly. I always want to create a day that reflects our couples perfectly. And I’m so thankful they let us turn a weekend in the woods to the most magical wedding and event that they (and we) will never forget.

Paris & Harry’s Wedding

A luxury wedding at Stoller Estate Vineyards - the day we didn’t plan for that turned into the perfect estate wedding. I had been working with Paris on her dream wedding for over two years. Due to COVID, she ended up having to change her venue twice, her date three times, find a new photographer (twice) and go through a complete redesign. Through venue closures and so many unexpected challenges, Paris and Harry were such champs through everything and their day ended up being exactly what they dreamed and more.

By the time we got to their day, we wanted every detail perfect. After shifting from their original industrial style venue, we pivoted to design a classy, high end affair at Stoller Family Estates. The design for this day was so intentional and evolved over time. Nestled among the vines, the Stoller Estate Vineyard’s glass tasting room flows into an expansive outdoor patio with panoramic vineyard views of Oregon’s wine country. We took our inspiration from the clean look and feel of the space, gravitating towards soft and light textures for our design details.

We framed the ceremony space with varied white pillars, and we partnered with Brier + Ivy to arrange candles, lush florals and rose petal clusters to create a trendy high-end feel. We amplified the classy and airy vibe with elegant ghost chairs - chairs that strike a perfect balance of design and function.

Throughout the ceremony and the reception, we leaned into a color palette of classic and creamy whites to show luxury and elegance. We added depth and warmth to our color palette with soft and subtle blush tones throughout the florals, and we pulled in smoke colored grey accents to bring soft modernity to the overall feel.

And of course, we went all out for our couple with a unique, sophisticated tablescape design, carefully layering hues and textures to evoke an upscale, classic vibe. We covered the tables in luxe velvet ivory cloth - a perfect foundation our expertly styled white stoneware plates, grey linen napkins, crystal champagne coupes and grey stemmed flatware.

Modern elegance permeated every detail of this vineyard estate wedding, but we loved that our couple’s personalities came through every decision too! From the neon-lit bar truck to the crystal champagne tower, this day was filled with love and elegance.

I was so excited to have our team design and execute every detail for this amazing couple and their reactions throughout the entire evening brought tears to us all. From the velvet linens to the hand-broken pieces of stone to the lush arrangements atop stunning white pillars, we wanted this day to feel extravagant, modern and effortless for this couple that at the end of the day, just wanted to be married. Congrats, Paris and Harry - we finally did it.

Anna & Mack’s Wedding

This luxury estate wedding in Portland on our bride’s family’s private property was one for the books. Anna grew up in her family’s time capsule midcentury home in the Southwest Hills. And from the very beginning, she knew that this was the perfect space to host a wedding that felt less traditional, more unique - a challenge we gladly accepted.

Over the course of a week, we took their beautiful home in the Portland hills and transformed it into a luxury wedding venue. This set up and custom build took us and our team of vendors four full days to create. We spent endless hours coordinating load in and load out times, a team of four focused solely on details for eight hours straight and we worked with over a dozen vendors to bring this day to life.

For the ceremony, we wanted to celebrate the couple’s Jewish heritage in a way that felt timeless and memorable. So we designed and built a custom organic style chuppah with natural wood to be adorned with lush blooms as though growing wildly and naturally on the front face of the structure. We loved worked with Color Theory Design Co. to bring to life our vision of classic, organic florals growing up the sides of the frame, then draping down the back of the chuppah as they cascaded out towards the estate pool and ceremony aisle.

Beyond the custom built wedding installation, we partnered with Wildhouse Ink to create large, custom wood signage with unique, modern lettering. And we worked with multiple vendors to create a luxury tented reception area with unique overhead floral installations. The 20 foot long rows of white larkspur and strung white stock completely transformed the feel of the tent, creating a natural, elevated garden feel that left both us and our guests speechless.

Beneath the overhead floral installations, our design team styled a modern and timeless reception. Unique vellum place cards rested atop textured ivory menus held by a small, brass clip to tie in the brass flatware. Our table details created a luxe, modern finish using stoneware plates, modern farm tables, organic table runners and natural linens. And the center of each table featured playful fruit arrangements complemented by lush floral centerpieces, glass votive candles and the family style meal of a lifetime catered by Tournant’s farm to fire cooking.

After the meal, the couple and their guests made their way to the dance floor to spend the evening cutting loose beneath an overhead cluster of disco balls, floral installations and icicle, string lighting.

Anna and Mack wanted a classic, timeless and beautiful wedding with an understated elegance and designing it for them was a dream. We spent a year planning, chatting, laughing and crying together and by the time their wedding day came around, everything was as magical and intoxicating as we hoped it would be, and you better believe I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss these two and this day more than anything.

Ava & Seth’s Wedding

A modern and intimate bohemian wedding on private property. A year in the making with three days of set up, all in 100+ degree heat. So much love went into this day for these two incredible humans and our team could not be more proud of the outcome.

We love when our couples trust us to design and plan their event from start to finish, and we couldn’t have been more in love with this lush and elegant wedding for Ava and Seth. From the very beginning, we wanted to create a cohesive look and feel with an elevated bohemian color palette. We leaned into shades of blush and rose, creating romantic pops of color throughout the ceremony and reception space. We played with soft and creamy whites to bring modernity, elegance, and timelessness to the whole affair. And we loved finding creative ways to accentuate the bohemian vibe with pampas - touches of this boho and earthly color in our tablescape pulled in all of the dried and unique elements throughout the design.

As guests filtered into the space, every detail fell into place. A large, custom built, welcome sign set the tone for a unique, one-of-a-kind affair.  For the ceremony, a lush floral arbor extended down to the ground and outwards, overflowing towards the wedding party. Good Seed Floral filled this install with antique roses, orchids, and pampas grass to create a modern and bohemian backdrop.

The bohemian vibe continued into the intimate dinner reception set beneath a large tent. We went all out with this design, stringing twinkle lights and pampas grass chandeliers throughout the entire tent as well as using chiffon draping to create a romantic and ethereal look. And we loved bringing the tablescape details to life. We created visual continuity from floor to ceiling, as the boho pampas color cascaded from ceiling installations to wishbone chairs to wicker chargers. Then we layered in contrast and elegance with organic white plates, blush runners, copper flatware and smoke crystal goblets.

Ava and Seth committed to making this the party of a lifetime, and we couldn’t have loved them more for it. We created additional lounge seating area and brought in everything from a photobooth to a bar cart an ice cream truck.

Our favorite wedding tip from this elegant bohemian affair? Please don’t skimp on your day. At the end of the day, you only do this once. If there’s something you want, if there’s something you love, this is your day to go big. Make a statement. Get extravagant. Spring for the extra orchids in your bouquet. Book the mobile bar and the ice cream truck. How many days in your life will you be able to have a ceiling of pampas chandeliers and twinkle lights? Or have custom color menus? Yeah…. Probably never. So do it right. Let’s get crazy.

Claire & Joe’s Micro Wedding

Inspired by coastal Italian cliffsides, we brought all the European vibes to this elegant San Diego elopement. Claire and Joe hired us for their intimate, destination wedding in Italy over two years ago. Needless to say, their plans had to change, multiple times, throughout the planning process. But they prevailed. And in the end, we were able to bring a little slice of Italy to their sweet Airbnb in southern California. Simple and timeless, this Italian-inspired micro wedding was one for the books.

As destination wedding planners, we knew that we could bring the aesthetic and vibe of an Italian elopement to this stateside affair. We drew on our experiences traveling the Italian countryside to create a balanced color palette of honey, sand, blush, gold, and neutrals to recreate the sandstone colors of Puglia.

We designed an intimate dinner reception at spectacular villa overlooking Lake Hodges, recreating the coastal vibes of an Italian escape. And we loved finding unique, trendy details that brought our couple and their guests into an Italian-inspired world: the lush and bougie floral arrangements designed by Cultivated by Faith were set into marbled, concrete vases, the gold glasses were handcrafted in Italy, and soft, romantic roses filled the corner of the pool to complete an Italian garden setting.

This intimate Italian inspired reception is such a perfect example of who we are at our core: we are not just designers and we do not just style tables ….. we are artists. Our team is 110% dedicated to every detail of your day. We spend hours on sourcing artisan glassware and perfectly textured linens, even when that means finding items from halfway across the world. We collaborate with our preferred vendors to bring a holistic vision to life in a way that is unique to us, for you. We intentionally plan every single piece of the look and the feel of your day, because there’s no better feeling than watching the look of complete joy on our clients’ faces from the moment they step into the space we’ve created for them.

As the sun set, Claire and Joe stepped out on the soft curves of the fireclay roof tiles, feeling the strong connection to the classic European style of Tuscan villas. In the words of our bride, “It was absolutely breathtaking. We couldn’t believe that this was our wedding. We felt like we were floating on a cloud. Our day was a literal dream come true and one we don’t ever want to wake up from.”

And until we pack our bags for our next sun soaked destination wedding in Italy, we’ll be sitting right here, scrolling back through these images and living in this dream day too.

A Few of Our Favorite Micro Weddings at Willow House

Francesa and Marco’s Wedding

This earthy and romantic micro-wedding at the Willow House was destined to stand out from the start. When Francesa and Marco reached out to us, they knew they wanted a small and intimate desert wedding. After cancelling their original pre-COVID plans to have a 300 person wedding in the Philippines, these two romantics knew there was a bigger purpose - and they trusted us completely to design an earthy, sophisticated micro-wedding in West Texas

We put our full heart into bringing this day to life. We went from 95 degrees to a full on storm with massive wind gusts, lightning strikes and rain cover, and this was by far one of my favorite weddings we’ve ever been a part of.

For our color palette, we leaned into earthy colors and textures to accentuate the gentle, muted tones of Terlingua’s natural landscape. We chose natural linen hues to blend with the mountains and desert earth. And we loved finding unique, warm neutrals to bring in the darker tones of the surrounding canyons, then pairing them with blush accents to mirror desert sunsets - every detail intentionally blurs the line between natural setting and constructed design to create a raw, organic feel.

We knew Francesa and Marco trusted us to create a completely unique and personal micro-wedding experience, so we designed a non-traditional ceremony site set in a field of ocotillo. We built a freestanding ceremony installation with raw wood pillar stacks at different heights to make sure we didn’t obstruct the view of the mountains, and we worked closely with Open Road Florals to create large, unique floral arrangements with desert textures.

We designed the reception tables with the same level of care, arranging delicate pebbles to line the guests’ place settings and complement the organic surroundings. The clay set floral arrangements and the natural raw linens amplified the luxury desert design. And instead of traditional place setting chargers, we draped blush organic linen across the table from setting to setting to create an opposite runner effect.

This earthy and romantic Willow House destination wedding reminded us that destination can mean anything you want it to. It’s your day. Even with a rare thunderstorm that sent guests running for shelter mid-reception, this wedding ended up being one of our favorite desert weddings of all time, and in the words of the bride, “it was even more us than we ever could’ve hoped.

. Kathleen and Thomas’ Wedding

Even the smallest gathering can be extravagant, and Kathleen and Thomas’ luxury micro wedding at Willow House is no exception. Grounded in the rugged, arid landscape of West Texas, Willow House is a perfect destination wedding venue for couples seeking to unplug and embrace the wild natural beauty of the American Southwest.

As a couple who spent much of the pandemic traveling to remote AirBnbs and unique desert locations, Willow House felt like the perfect for this intimate destination wedding. Kathleen and Thomas fell in love with the venue’s thoughtfully designed casitas with unobstructed views of the Chisos Mountain Range, and we couldn’t have been more honored to design a luxurious, desert wedding in this space.

For their ceremony, we wanted to amplify the remote feeling of being in the middle of the desert by creating a unique and low-profile custom arch installation. Every detail was inspired by the surrounding desert landscape: we tucked desert elements and grasses around the ceremony aisle and seating to create a lush, organic feeling. And the ceremony installation juxtaposed jagged natural rock with soft sage and ivory blooms, creating a natural and elevated feel that mirrored the surrounding ocotillos, blooming upward in the harsh desert landscape.

After the ceremony, we elevated the minimalism of the desert landscape with modern ambiance. Clusters of pillar candles, quartzite atop the bar, branches placed throughout the tablescape – all of these details felt so in tune with desert surroundings. And for the reception dinner, we designed a luxury, neutral tablescape styled with stone tableware, ivory and sage linens, smoke colored glassware and matte black flatware to add an elegance and softness without competing with the desert surroundings.

This authentic and intimate destination micro wedding was all about creating magic in the middle of nowhere, our specialty. And we loved every second of it.

Styled Wedding Shoot

At Mae&Co Creative, we believe in setting trends and challenging conventions. And for this chic Palm Springs elopement, we loved debunking the myth that minimalist can’t equal luxury while setting a few of our favorite 2021 wedding trends.

When you opt for a simple, minimalist wedding or elopement, that doesn’t mean you have to scrimp on the details. We believe minimalism and luxury design go hand-in-hand. When you remove big ticket items like a live band, cocktail hour, over the top props and decor, every remaining detail matters. Every design choice stands out so much more, everything from the location to the tablescape colors become intentional parts of your elopement or wedding day.

And for this luxury Palm Springs elopement, we loved designing a ceremony arch and an intimate reception tablescape that complemented the surrounding neutral desert elements while finding textures that would contrast against the valley view. We worked in tandem with Good Seed Floral to build an arch with dried florals and palms to amplify the arid desert setting, while simultaneously incorporating soft, fresh blooms like orchids and roses to bring a soft contrast to the stark desert backdrop.

We loved designing this modern desert wedding, as the sprawling desert setting is the perfect place to elevate trend-setting wedding style details. This year, we’re calling a design trend forecast with puff sleeves, black and whites, and tablecloths in place of farm tables. And you better believe these style choices fit perfectly with this timeless Palm Springs elopement. The bride’s lace puffed sleeves in her Willow by Watters gown added another soft texture to contrast the harsh desert landscape, and the ochre tablecloth for the modern reception design added color and movement as the bride and groom sat together to toast their union and celebrate their dream desert wedding.

You can have a simple and luxurious elopement in the desert, trust us. And if you’re planning to ditch a traditional wedding and elope, make sure you go big and do it exactly how you want to. Bring us along for the ride, you won’t regret it.
