At once modern and rugged, elegant and understated, this intimate Amangiri elopement is proof that creating beautiful designs in the most remote places is always well worth it.

Luxury Destination Wedding Editorial at Rosewood Mandarina
Riviera Nayarit, Mexico
Perched along the wild Pacific coastline of Rosewood Mandarina in Riviera Nayarit, this celebration felt deeply aligned with how we at Mae&Co approach design — architectural, immersive, and grounded in place. Rosewood Mandarina is not just beautiful; it is expansive in a way that invites bold thinking. With jungle-covered mountains rising behind manicured lawns and the ocean stretching endlessly beyond, the property feels both powerful and serene — a rare balance that immediately inspired us.
For this editorial, we wanted to honor that scale while softening it through texture and tone. We leaned into calming neutrals that mirrored the sand-hued concrete and open-air architecture, then layered in chartreuse and butter yellow — colors that feel current, directional, and alive against the Pacific light. Every decision, from the 18x18-foot ceremony structure to the custom textiles woven throughout the weekend, was designed to echo the surroundings rather than compete with them. Rosewood Mandarina gave us a canvas that felt limitless — and we responded with design that was intentional, cohesive, and rooted in the landscape itself.
The Architecture: Where Brutalism Meets the Coast
One of the defining features of Rosewood Mandarina is its architectural language. Sand-hued concrete pillars, open-air corridors, and sculptural negative space nod subtly to a modern brutalist influence — softened by warm coastal tones and organic materials.
The property’s scale allows design to breathe. Massive columns frame ocean views. Open-air spaces invite natural light. Garden lawns feel intentional rather than ornamental. Everywhere you turn, there is a tension between structure and nature — concrete and palm fronds, mountain ridgelines and crashing surf.
That contrast became the foundation of our design story.
The Ceremony: Monumental Scale Against Jungle and Sea
For the ceremony, we utilized one of the resort’s expansive garden venues — a space capable of accommodating approximately 300 guests while still maintaining visual intimacy. We intentionally designed an 18x18-foot ceremony structure to reflect the scale of the surroundings. Rather than competing with the landscape, it framed it:
Lush green lawn beneath
Mountain views rising behind
The Pacific Ocean just beyond
The structure was oversized by design — architectural, grounded, and confident. It demonstrated how Rosewood Mandarina can support large-format installations without ever feeling crowded. For couples seeking a luxury destination wedding in Mexico with room for bold design statements, this property delivers.
The Reception: The Beach Pavilion Reimagined
For dinner and dancing, we transformed the resort’s Beach Pavilion — a venue that comfortably accommodates approximately 120 guests with a full dance floor.
The design approach was organic yet directional. We leaned into draping that mimicked the natural shapes of palm trees and coastal movement. The textile work, created by Mia Silvia, brought softness and flow to the pavilion’s architectural lines. The result felt immersive but not overworked — sculptural fabric suspended against the sea breeze.
Color played a subtle but intentional role. Neutral, calming tones anchored the palette, while trending accents of chartreuse and butter yellow added freshness without overpowering the natural setting.
The entire design was unified through custom textiles created with Nübo. We developed a bespoke print that carried from paper goods to piped linens, napkins, and menus — creating continuity across every touchpoint. This level of cohesion is what elevates a destination wedding from beautiful to editorial.
Texture as a Design Language
Furniture by Del Cabo Events allowed us to explore layered textures throughout the space. One of our favorite moments: the near-perfect alignment between the upholstery of the lounge seating and the draping above — an intentional detail that rewards a closer look.
Casa de Perrin provided custom tabletop pieces that complemented the textile story without competing with it. Each element was curated to feel integrated rather than placed. At Rosewood Mandarina, the design opportunity lies in restraint. The setting is already powerful — ocean, jungle, mountains. The role of production is to enhance, not overwhelm.
Venue Versatility: From Intimate Dinners to 300+ Guest Celebrations
One of the most compelling aspects of Rosewood Mandarina as a wedding venue is its flexibility.
The property offers:
Garden venues accommodating up to approximately 300 guests
Expansive beachfront areas ideal for large-scale celebrations
The Beach Pavilion for seated dinners and dancing
Multiple on-site restaurants suitable for private welcome parties and rehearsal dinners
A stunning pool area perfect for welcome cocktails or post-wedding brunches
This range allows couples to host an entire multi-day wedding weekend without ever repeating a setting.
For planners and couples searching for:
Luxury wedding venues in Mexico
Rosewood Mandarina wedding cost and capacity information
Riviera Nayarit beachfront wedding venues
High-end destination wedding locations in Mexico
Rosewood Mandarina stands out for its ability to balance design-forward architecture with immersive natural surroundings.
A Setting That Expands With You
What makes this property particularly special is its scale. It can hold 50 guests effortlessly. It can hold 300 guests beautifully. It supports dramatic installations and understated elegance equally well.
Ocean views in one direction.
Jungle and mountain ridgelines in the other.
Open sky above.
It is rare to find a venue that feels this expansive while still feeling intentional. For couples envisioning a coastal Mexico wedding that blends architecture, nature, and elevated production, Rosewood Mandarina offers a canvas unlike anywhere else in Riviera Nayarit.

Let us plan your dream day
Panarea Island, Sicily, Italy
dallas and andrew
multi day italian Island takeover wedding
Panarea is one of those rare places that feels entirely untouched by time. A small, car-free island off the coast of Sicily, it requires intention to reach — boats, transfers, coordination — but rewards you with cinematic beauty at every turn. For Dallas Thompson (The RealReal) and Andrew, founder of Headway, that sense of remove was exactly the point.
They didn’t want a traditional wedding weekend. They wanted an immersive, multi-day celebration that felt like a true island takeover — fashion-driven, experiential, and centered around bringing their closest friends into a shared adventure.
Welcome Night: A Study in Red
We opened the weekend on the iconic rooftop of Raya for sunset cocktails. The dress code was simple: red. Every guest arrived in head-to-toe red, transforming the island’s narrow pathways into a moving monochromatic scene as everyone made their way from rooftop cocktails to dinner at Bridge Sushi. On a tiny island like Panarea, that visual cohesion becomes powerful — you could see the celebration moving through town. It set the tone immediately: intentional, elevated, and slightly unexpected. The evening unfolded into a late-night sushi party that carried on well past midnight, establishing the rhythm of the weekend.
Day Two: Sea and White
The following day, we chartered a private yacht and spent hours island-hopping through the Aeolian inlets. Guests swam, lounged on coordinated floaties, and spent the afternoon under the Sicilian sun with wine and Aperol in hand. It was relaxed but curated — effortless in feeling, precise in execution.
That evening shifted entirely in palette and mood. The rehearsal dinner at Bridge Amare embraced an all-white dress code, echoing the restaurant’s clean architecture and its perch above the sea. Guests gathered for aperitivo directly on the sand at sunset before following a candlelit path to dinner overlooking the water. The contrast between red and white across the first two evenings was intentional — bold, graphic, and reflective of the couple’s love of fashion and visual storytelling.
Wedding Day: Movement, Music, and the Sea
The ceremony took place on the cliffside terrace of Hotel Chincotta, overlooking the turquoise horizon and the Isle Bianca — a small rock formation rising from the sea in the distance. The setting required little embellishment; the natural landscape did most of the work.
Rather than transition by shuttle, guests were guided by live musicians through the winding streets of Panarea to Lisca Bianca. The procession created a sense of collective movement — intimate, celebratory, and uniquely tied to the island’s scale.
At Lisca Bianca, we hosted a rooftop aperitivo accompanied by the New York–based band who had led the procession. Dinner and the reception followed on the terrace, framed by panoramic ocean views and candlelight. The atmosphere was distinctly Italian — long tables, layered courses, and a pace that encouraged conversation.
The evening concluded back at Raya, which we transformed entirely for the after-party concept: Once Upon a Time in Panarea. The space became an immersive, all-red nightclub inspired by a modern interpretation of a spaghetti western — saturated color, layered textures, and a late-night energy that carried through until nearly sunrise.
La Dolce Vita Finale
The final day brought a La Dolce Vita–inspired pool celebration at Raya Hotel. The mood was celebratory and sun-soaked — bold fashion, pizza, Aperol Spritz, and playful design details (including custom pasta-shaped floaties) that kept the tone light without sacrificing sophistication.
That evening, guests boarded boats once more — this time dressed in sparkles — to witness Stromboli erupting in the distance. Watching the volcano light up the night sky felt like a fitting conclusion: dramatic, cinematic, and distinctly Sicilian.
Producing a four-day celebration on a remote, car-free island like Panarea is far more than a matter of coordination. Every guest arrival, vendor transfer, equipment load-in, and venue transformation required layered planning across land and sea — often within tight access windows and limited infrastructure. We worked across multiple properties, redesigned spaces nightly, and managed a moving guest experience that flowed organically from rooftop to shoreline to open water.
The result was a celebration that felt effortless to attend — but was meticulously engineered behind the scenes. For us, that is the art of destination production: building an experience so immersive and seamless that the complexity disappears entirely, leaving only beauty, movement, and memory.

ULUM Resort, Moab, Utah
Kirby and Manoj
FIVE day INDIAN Fusion wedding
When Kirby and Manoj came to us to plan their wedding, we knew it would be something truly special. Their story is one of blending traditions, values, and families—Kirby’s rooted in a Quaker background and Manoj’s in Hindu-Indian culture. Together, they envisioned a wedding weekend that not only honored both of their heritages, but also celebrated the breathtaking Utah desert in an intentional, elevated, and deeply personal way.
With 120 of their closest family and friends traveling from New York, California, and India, the couple wanted the experience to feel like a luxury desert retreat—equal parts Burning Man-inspired, culturally rich, and grounded in the beauty of nature. What unfolded over three days at ULUM Moab and surrounding venues was one of the most unique celebrations we’ve had the honor of designing.
The weekend began at Red Earth, a venue surrounded by sweeping red rock formations. Guests gathered for an earthy and intimate welcome dinner catered by Culinary Craft, paired with live music from a bluegrass band sourced by Aragon Artists. Inspired by Moab's desert surroundings, our design served to enhance the beauty of the landscape. The dinner tablescapes were styled with natural materials including local stone and foliage, creating a seamless blend between the natural and built worlds for guests at this event.
Before the evening ended, Kirby and Manoj hosted a moving tribute ceremony to honor past relatives—a grounding and heartfelt way to begin the celebrations. As the sun set over the desert, the night closed with a private bluegrass performance, setting the tone for the eclectic, soulful weekend to come.
The second day was designed as a canvas for connection and joy. After a family-led morning Nalangu pre-wedding ritual ceremony, guests were invited into a day-long schedule of activities—nearly 60 in total—planned by friends and family. Whether hiking, meditating, creating art, or simply soaking in the desert, the day embodied the couple’s desire to give their guests the freedom to experience community in their own way.
That evening, we transformed the property into a desert dining experience with a custom menu prepared by Tournant, a seasonal farm-to-fire cooking company known nationally for their immersive dining experiences. Natural grasses and native sage lined the tablescapes, intertwining the raw desert landscape with an intimate, nature-inspired dining experience.
After dinner, the night shifted into a vibrant outdoor sangeet, complete with special performances prepared by friends and family. It was the perfect balance of laid-back warmth and cultural celebration.
The final day brought the wedding into full focus. At sunrise, guests gathered at Looking Glass Arch to begin a traditional Baraat procession—an energetic and joyful celebration marking the groom’s arrival. The Baraat wound its way back to ULUM, where a traditional Hindu ceremony awaited. Led by members of Manoj’s family, the ceremony design leaned into the desert landscape—minimalist and natural in form, yet accented with the vibrancy, color, and richness of Hindu tradition.
That evening, the celebration came full circle with a Quaker ceremony. Quaker weddings are uniquely intentional; without a single officiant, anyone moved to speak, sing, or pray is invited to do so. The result was a raw and beautiful outpouring of love and support from the couple’s closest people.
The reception that followed was both elegant and organic. With Hart Floral creating wild, earth-inspired floral installations and Eclectic Hive providing textured lounges and rentals, the design felt as though it grew naturally from the desert itself. Copper bowls filled with marigolds hung above, and custom paper goods by Nubo Studios tied the aesthetic together. Throughout the space we leaned into sleek linen detailing and ridged ceramics to mirror the unique textures of Ulum while creating a curated, elevated design. Guests dined and danced under the stars before slipping away to an intimate afterparty in the rocks, featuring a curated 90s rock cover band—another unforgettable addition from Aragon Artists.
For us, this weekend embodied what we love most about wedding planning: creating experiences that feel like a true extension of the couple. Kirby and Manoj’s celebration was eclectic, intentional, and elevated—seamlessly blending two cultures, two families, and two distinct approaches to life into one unforgettable story.
It was not without challenges—remote locations, unpredictable weather, and the complexity of honoring two very different traditions—but the result was a wedding that felt undeniably theirs. Set against the vast and grounding landscape of Moab, it was a celebration that reflected not just who they are as individuals, but who they’ve chosen to become together.

Let us plan your dream day
One&Only Mandarina, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico
Aviator Nation Founder, Paige Mycoskie and Jess Martin’s
3 day music festival inspired wedding
When Paige Mycoskie, Founder of Aviator Nation and her longtime sweetheart Jess Martin approached us to plan their luxury three-day wedding in the One and Only in Mexico, they made it clear: they didn’t want a wedding — they wanted an experience, and they wanted to give their friends the best weekend of their lives.
Every moment of the three-day celebration centered around the couple’s unique love story, filled with layered aesthetics, major reveals, and deeply personal touches. From moody jungle speakeasies to late-night beach concerts, every event was custom-built with intention and we knew this was going to be an event to remember.
In the days leading up to the ceremony festivities kicked off with a sultry, immersive welcome party nestled deep in the trees. The vibe was sexy, moody, and unexpected—designed to feel like a hidden speakeasy in the cliff-side jungle. We brought in Moroccan-inspired lounge pockets, layered lighting and velvet textures, and infused the space with dramatic chandeliers and tropical plant life. Working with Aragon Artists, we brought in a full cast of immersive greeters and dancers in costume, and the night came alive with bongo drummers, dynamic aerialist performances, and a surprise jungle concert by Vandalux on a custom-built stage. Paige and Jess made their grand entrance wearing Prada, vintage Christian Dior and custom dresses with the top made entirely of stones, Swarovski crystals and beads. The brides dazzled guests as they shredded guitars to an iconic anthem - building on an atmosphere that felt transportive and totally unhinged in the best way possible.
The next day guests enjoyed a laid-back, sun-drenched beach club experience. Everything was branded, from the coconuts, to the custom-designed menus and signage to an airbrush station where guests personalized their own gear with custom logos and playful artwork that Paige, herself, chose.
Then as Paige and Jess made their majestic arrival on horseback for a beachfront rehearsal dinner, the evening evolved into a high-contrast Hollywood Glam Dinner on the beach. Paige and Jess wanted this night to feel stunning and unexpected – with white silk, crystals, gold details, and vintage chandeliers, all juxtaposed with the raw ocean backdrop. This rehearsal dinner was anything but ordinary, as guests wove through fire dancers to enjoy custom cocktails and crystal readings from a certified shaman. Musical festival magic continued as Emmett Fenn closed the evening with a set that blended perfectly with the glowing shoreline and crisp design, so that Paige and Jess could dance the night away with their guests.
The wedding day was, in a word, electric. On their wedding day, Paige and Jess always envisioned saying their vows at the end of the One&Only Mandarina jetty, and we made it happen for them by bringing in a 90-person production crew, VVR Pro, to rebuild and extend the platform, as well as adding custom flooring to the entire walkway.
Custom was the operative word for this luxury wedding design, as we spared no expense on custom-made details, from the altar with ten-foot-tall crystal clusters to lush tropical arrangements styled by Studio Mondine to Paige’s wedding dress - every detail was a meticulous match to Paige and Jess’ vision.
The reception followed in true Paige-and-Jess fashion: a checkerboard dance floor (a nod to Paige’s Aviator Nation stores), branded velour napkins, and a three-level seating arrangement built over the Jetty Beach Club. From the dramatic drapery to velvet decor to the lush greenery, Jess and Paige’s reception was a luxury oasis in and of itself. Paige designed the concept for the stage herself — an Old Hollywood-style backdrop dripping in velvet and drama — and we commissioned full production to build it out
One of the most jaw-dropping reception elements was the cake. Paige personally designed the visual concept: a hyper-realistic, oversized tiger sculpture that felt like an art piece straight out of a dream. We flew in The Cake Architect from the UK, who spent an entire week on-site constructing the massive four-foot-wide, three-foot-tall cake. It was unexpected, larger-than-life, and exactly the kind of magic Paige and Jess wanted infused into every single detail.
To close out the celebration, we created a full concert experience on the beach. Paige chose the musical lineup herself—including Lyrah, Ayokay, and Elderbrook, and we worked with production and Aragon to build out a massive performance space complete with a 56-foot, three-panel LED backdrop, Moroccan-inspired soft seating — arcade games and neon signage were a must-have for Paige and Jess so we brought in custom everything to really bring the space to life. Everything to make it feel like a private beachfront music festival for their guests. The stage was built five feet off the ground and overlooked the ocean, giving the performances an epic backdrop as guests danced barefoot into the early morning hours.
When we started planning this five star resort wedding at the One&Only Mandarina , Paige and Jess dreamed of an immersive, boundary-pushing celebration that would reflect their love, their story, and the things they care about most: music, design, the people in their life, and not doing anything halfway. Our team took every step to recognize Paige and Jess’s incredibly creative minds—while also ensuring they never had to worry about the “how.” They dreamed big, and we did everything to match that energy: sourcing and incredible team of creative vendors, producing every detail, navigating private property logistics, managing multiple stages of production, and creating custom builds from the ground up. Every idea had a place. Every detail mattered. And it all came together to create a celebration that was truly one-of-a-kind.

Our Habitas Hotel, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
bhava + adam
A 3 day, south indian/american Wedding
Nestled in the heart of Mexico, San Miguel de Allende’s colorful desert canvas was the perfect backdrop for Bhavna and Adam’s multi-cultural wedding weekend. From the welcome dinner on Halloween at The Rosewood, to the Sangeet on Diwali, to a wedding day that transformed into a Day of the Dead party at midnight - this 3 day celebration was wildly stylish, insanely fun, and one for the books for our team.
Walking the streets of San Miguel and bar hopping with your entire wedding crew is the best way to start the most epic wedding weekend in Mexico. We designed a welcome dinner at the Luna Rooftop of San Miguel’s luxury Rosewood Hotel, pulling inspiration from the town's vivid hues below. From hand painted invitations to locally sourced textiles, the design echoed the deep blush of the surrounding colonial buildings and highlighted the golden yellows of blooming jacarandas.
From the start of the Halloween welcome dinner, we knew Bhava and Adam’s celebration promised to deliver elevated elegance and infectious fun. Wedding guests traveled to Our Habitas San Miguel for an all-inclusive hotel experience, starting with a traditional Indian Sangeet celebration. Guests dressed in silk sarees and classic sherwani, ready to step into the sangeet, traditional pre-wedding "music night" that felt anything but conventional.
Decorated with marigolds, satsumas and papayas, we leaned into the sunset hues to set the stage for choreographed dance numbers. We took the hotel’s glasshouse restaurant, cleared it out completely, and turned it into a full on dance club that lasted until 4am – building beautiful spaces where there was nothing before is our specialty.
When the last guest cleared the dance floor and the sun started to rise, we set out to transform spaces throughout the Habitas hotel property for the wedding day.
Set above the sprawling valley below, we worked with Noble Floral Co to design a lush ceremony space in “La Troje” –a cultural agora and roman-style ruin space. Florals came via planes, suitcases, cars and trucks all to be designed into one of our favorite ceremony set ups ever. Golden amaranth and cymbidium orchids climbed the altar, creating an elevated design that contrasted against the harsh stone, mirroring the native blooms that crack upward from the surrounding desert floor.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the firepit to enjoy dirty martinis and spritzes before stepping into a beautiful, custom tented reception.
Olive green curtains pulled back to reveal a dinner set up that spared no expense. With an overheard fabric installation and a custom-built stage, we transformed the outdoor space into a lavish dinner party – the perfect prelude for a night of music and dancing. Reception details included handwritten menus and paper goods, ornate printed dishware and art deco chandeliers to create a space that feels equally edgy and timeless.
Adam and Bhava’s Mexico destination wedding in San Miguel de Allende is the perfect example of the extraordinary and one-of-a-kind events that we love. From representing the traditional Indian details through experience, style and sound to designing a vibrant, magical setting from scratch, this event was a true representation of everything Adam and Bhava love – and we couldn’t be more grateful to be part of it.

Nobu Hotel, Los Cabos, Mexico
Kennedi + Jake
a 3 day Wedding
Full of custom and unique details, stone textures and flowing linens, this stunning wedding at the Nobu Hotel in Los Cabos was a dream of a weekend.
When Dallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger and his bride Kennedi Schumacher visited Nobu Los Cabos in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico years before their engagement, they knew this was the perfect spot to tie the knot: ‘We have to get married here one day,’” Kennedi recalls saying to Jake.
Sitting on the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos has mesmerizing views of sparkling sapphire waters, stretching as far as the eye can see. Pulling inspiration from this luxury beachfront hotel, we knew we wanted to curate a modern, elegant and romantic feel that blended perfectly with the surrounding landscape and architecture of Nobu. Whether a guest was stepping into this space for the first time or they’d seen it 100 times before, we wanted to make it look and feel completely different and unique.
For our ceremony design on the Baja Peninsula, we designed a one-of-a-kind custom installation atop the venue's stone, beachfront terrace. Playing with the natural surrounding hues of sand and stone, we built a minimalist, curved backdrop as a perfect contrast to the venue’s modern lines. Luxe, monobloom and monocluster florals from Noble Floral Co. framed the install, elevating the soft, organic nature of our design while integrating perfectly into the natural environment. Somehow blending in, while standing out perfectly, the curved design created an intimate, luxurious feel against the vast ocean backdrop.
After the ceremony, we knew we wanted the cocktail hour to be a statement of its own. As guests sipped on signature cocktails - including Kennedi’s espresso martinis - we created a romantic bar area complete with dramatic draping, cascading floral installs and a transformed lounge space that felt a world apart.
As the sun started to dip below the horizon, guests found their way to our show-stopping reception dinner. We completely reimagined the space, using texture, dimension, contrast and balance to make this setting feel magical and almost hidden, like an entirely different, special space. Hanging jute lanterns, billowy beige draping, gauzy linens and natural stone accents worked in tandem to meld modern vibes with earthy and organic textures. With a mix of white concrete tables and wood stations, we created a minimalist space that prioritized attention to detail: smokey glassware, stone ceramic plates and black ribbon-wrapped menus popped against chiffon, cream-hued floral centerpieces.
Guests enjoyed dinner and a show, watching traditional Mexican dancers give a dazzling performance under the canopy of lights - right before the bride slipped into an iridescent outfit change with a plunging neckline and sheer skirt, the perfect outfit to close out the night as the guys had ditched their shirts, the last espresso martinis were sipped and a fireworks display lit up the night sky.
Kennedi and Jake’s wedding weekend at Nobu Los Cabos had it all - from cigar rollers to a mariachi band to a custom ceremony buildout to the bar design of our dream - the perfect marriage of organic details and modern design made this minimalist wedding one for the books.

The Sea Ranch Lodge, Sonoma County, California
INTIMATE WEDDING INSPO AT SEA RANCH LODGE
Nestled in the stunning meadows and cliffs of the northern California coast, The Sea Ranch Lodge is the ultimate destination for a luxury Sonoma County wedding.
There’s always been a timeless draw to the Sonoma Coast, and Sea Ranch is no exception. Our team was enamored by the simplicity and beauty of this place, and we knew that designing a wedding at Sea Ranch Lodge was our kind of party - one that took all the right kinds of risks while honoring the inherent beauty of the space.
Set on 53 acres of dramatic Northern California coastline, the original Sea Ranch buildings were built in the 1960s as an architectural study exploring how to live in harmony with the natural surroundings. Classically understated and carefully preserved, every detail of the Sea Ranch Lodge proves that this coastal enclave is the ultimate expression of luxury. With a focus on architecture, design and ecology, the Sea Ranch Lodge inspired us to create a wedding that feels untraditional in the most brilliant way.
Pulling inspiration from the coastal landscape, we pulled in natural earth brown colors to echo the surrounding cliffs, soft grays to mirror the coastal fog and elegant ivories to contrast the warm wood of the Sea Ranch Lodge. We designed this celebration to honor the harmony between land and sea, drawing on dirt, stone and silk textures to create a modern, timeless wedding design at this historic venue.
For our wedding ceremony design, we worked with Unwritten Florals to create a textural floral aisle built into the organic wood beams of the lodge’s Ocean Deck. Balancing subtlety and complexity, single seats lined each side of the aisle, broken apart by dramatic floral installations with grass and wildflowers - integrating the textures and materials from the surrounding cliffside meadows into the built environment with elegance and ease.
For the reception, I've been saying round tables are making a comeback since 2022... I just didn't say how. But when I saw the hard lines of the mid-century architecture at Sea Ranch Lodge, I knew the contrast of round tables would juxtapose this luxury Northern California hotel property perfectly.
We designed the reception within the Open Meadow - one of Sea Ranch’s most unique celebration spaces. With panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean stretching as far as the eye can see, we knew this natural landscape would provide unparalleled contrast for our luxury reception design. Combining silk, muslin, grasses, silver, thin-lined glass, stoneware, artichokes and florals, we designed this modern tablescape to be a textural masterpiece. We let luxury silk cascade organically into the earth, elevating the dynamic round tablescape design. And thoughtful details like garlic scapes and artichokes gave an artful nod to the lush produce and regional bounty that inspires the culinary offerings at Sea Ranch Lodge.
For this warm spring afternoon wedding on the Northern California coast, we wanted every detail to feel modern and minimal. Time slows down at Sea Ranch, and as our couple enjoyed the plein air reception set in the midst of coastal meadows above the soaring cliffs, we knew we created something special. This luxury Sea Ranch Lodge destination wedding blended natural beauty with coastal elegance through bold choices in texture and design - an absolute dream for us.

The Madrona Hotel, Sonoma, California
Healdsburg wedding INSPO in sonoma county
The Madrona Hotel, a true hidden gem tucked away in wine country in Northern California, is a destination wedding venue in a league of its own.
Last fall, our team traveled to Healdsburg to design at this dream venue, an estate hotel that blends unique history, an idyllic location and luxury experiences that reflect Napa and Sonoma’s unparalleled hospitality. Built in 1881, the Madrona Hotel features timeless interior and exterior spaces – from buttery vintage wallpaper to emerald-green gardens, every corner of this historic estate inspired our 1940’s old world design for this event.
Pulling inspiration from this luxury wine country venue, we knew we wanted to curate a timeless, French-inspired, old money feel that blended seamlessly with the space. Throughout both the ceremony and reception designs, we leaned into quiet luxury, finding ways to pull inspiration from whipped butter and vintage velvet to put an extravagant twist on the everyday.
For our ceremony design at The Madrona Hotel, we worked to create contrast within cohesiveness. The ceremony space featured the quintessential rolling greens of Sonoma wine country, so we worked with Noble Floral Co. to build dimension through luxe, monochromatic and monobloom florals. Light wood chairs and linen umbrellas lined the aisles, with dramatic florals contrasting the soft ivory seating and shade. The scalloped umbrellas created a unique flair, adding a St. Tropez-inspired touch that brought a modern twist to this Victorian, old money setting.
For the reception, we leaned into the growing trend to feature experiences over details. As we head into 2025 and beyond, more and more couples are prioritizing the food and experience for their guests, and we wanted this Madrona wedding reception to feel elemental and experiential, swapping big floral arrangements for dirty martinis and whipped butter.
With elevated caviar and cocktail pairings, we mirrored the epicurean delights with a lived-in luxury tablescape design. Inspired by the Madrona’s Victorian sensibilities, we layered a lavish patterned linens with rich velvet napkins, vintage silverware, scalloped plates and modern stoneware to create a multi-dimensional design. Artful details, like heads of garlic and monobloom florals added subtle depth the design, and Italian calligraphy and slingback chairs balanced traditional elements with modern trends.
Inspired by lived-in luxury and the storied details of the Madrona Hotel, this is one of our favorite designs to date. Leaning into the muted brick, blush and ivory tones of this luxury Healdsburg wedding venue – incorporating lush florals, iconic buildings, stunning style, warm bread and favorite cocktails – this Madrona Hotel wedding was an absolute dream for us.

The Other Side, Eleuthera, Bahamas
Jenna + Thomas
A weekend wedding in the bahamas
From the very beginning, Jenna and Thomas wanted their wedding weekend to feel like a big party, a carefree and elegant destination celebration. On my first phone call with Jenna, she told me that her and Thomas wanted something unique. We spent dozens of hours researching to find a location that checked ALL the boxes and made her and Thomas feel like their wedding weekend was 100% their own - and when I found The Other Side hotel in the Bahamas, our couple was sold.
Creating an elegant weekend wedding experience for our couple and their guests is our specialty. The venue sits on Eleuthera, an island accessible only by boat, but we took this challenge in stride to create something wholly unique and custom for our couple. We pulled our inspiration from the lush tranquility of the island, starting with a welcome party at The Other Side’s Ocean View Club. Local steel drums invited guests to settle in, enjoying a vibey space filled with tropical hues, beachwood and intimate lighting.
For Jenna and Thomas’ wedding day, we pulled inspiration from Eleuthera’s surroundings. Beige, white and pink hues reflected the surrounding sands; the soft and subtle blues echoed the Caribbean sky and sea. Guests stepped off the boat onto the island, greeted by custom fans and champagne flutes, and we knew this day was going to be special. Every detail - from the ceremony layout to the customized linens - contributed to this wedding’s high-end, ethereal feel.
We designed the ceremony to emulate the landscape and surrounding views throughout this island in the Bahamas. Our team built a custom ceremony aisle over the pool, elevating a standard beach wedding to feel luxe, lush and completely unique.
We worked with Noble Floral to create a floating cloud ceremony with mono bloom clusters. Fluffy whites, like the clouds, walking over the infinity pool, like the ocean. Everything about this modern and romantic concept was cohesively created to make you feel like the beauty around you was only being enhanced, not compromised.
As guests made their way to the cocktail hour, we curated a custom space that felt both elevated and casual. Custom pillows and table linens played perfectly with the bridesmaid couture and the blue thistle florals. Custom linen signage and bar menus brought a sense of elevated magic to the beachfront set up.
Creating the reception dinner was a huge source of inspiration for the wedding day. Our team filled the space with elegant chiffon draping and a large, lush hanging installation, casting an otherworldly, dreamlike glow over the evening. We added elevated details throughout the tablescapes, including pearl white dining sets and silver-rimmed glasses. Natural elements, including sand and wheat grass, swirled around candles and florals, creating a romantic atmosphere for a night of celebration. With shoes kicked off and sunglasses on, guests took to the dance floor twirling to the late night croons of a saxophone playing out over the nearby waves and the DJ set.
Jenna and Thoma’s wedding weekend in the Bahamas had it all - from the floating ceremony buildout to oyster shell candles to signature Caribbean cocktails - the elevated and experiential details from this island wedding speak for themselves. This wedding at The Other Side hotel will forever live in our minds as one of the most otherworldly designs we’ve ever created, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Jenna and Thomas for trusting us to go beyond their wildest dreams.

Villa Corsini, Tuscany, Italy
Luxury wedding design
As luxury international wedding designers, we’ve been curating intimate weddings and events in Italy for the better part of a decade – but we know that every job stands apart. For every celebration, we look for a place that is unique, that plays in YOUR story, that reminds you of your journey, that invokes emotion and feels like it was made for you. Because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about, right?
Last fall, our team traveled to Tuscany to create at a dream venue, a place with 700-plus years of culture in the making. Located in the rolling hills of Chianti on the outskirts of Florence, Villa Corsini is a mecca for Italian history and art. Surrounded by the unparalleled Florentine countryside, Villa Corsini lives in two worlds: its exterior is an invitation to bask in some of Italy’s oldest vineyards and olive groves. Its interior brings you into a place once inhabited by the Medici and Corsini families; the halls are adorned with Baroque frescos that have been witness to lavish banquets and dinner parties for centuries.
When designing for this venue, we knew we wanted to curate a sleek, sophisticated and modern feel while honoring the traditional elements of the space. Throughout both the ceremony and reception designs, we leaned into garden and Tuscan-inspired moments mixed with sleek lines and modern touches.
For our ceremony design at Villa Corsini, we pulled inspiration from the garden of Meridione, highlighting the soft daisy white colors of the garden and incorporating the ancient terra cotta statues and craftsmanship. Wrought iron chairs formed simple rows in the southern Italian garden, creating an intimate and understated aisle that perfectly framed the rolling hills of Tuscany. At the altar, blush, chartreuse and neutral floral clusters cascaded from the stone steps to the garden floor, evoking modern romance in this historic Italian setting.
For the reception, we chose to design a dinner party in the Galleria del Pandolta Sacchi – one of the most impressive, and one-of-a-kind rooms in all of Tuscany. Surrounded by arched windows and baroque frescos, we set our table to offer a picturesque view of the Chianti countryside.
Every detail – from the texture of our linens to the tablescape draping to the fine tablescape glassware – was inspired by the fine art in the space. Inspired by the layered textures of the surrounding oil paintings, we brought in a thick, artfully folded fern velvet tablecloth. For the place settings, we created a five-layer setting reminiscent of the classic Tuscan style place settings paired with vintage silver flatware and crystal glassware. Tuscan-inspired moments permeated the tablescape design, with vintage compotes filled with fresh fruit often depicted in Italian renaissance oil paintings. Yet we balanced the traditional elements with luxe, modern floral arrangements that layered hydrangeas, lisianthus and garden blooms. And back in the garden, we hosted an aperol spritz bar to bring in modern delights – just one unique and interactive experience to delight guests for a reception in Italy.
We felt every texture, detail and nuance of this day to create a design worked in harmony with the rich history of Villa Corsini. And that’s why you hire Mae&Co - because you deserve an experience where no detail goes overlooked.

Masseria Moroseta, Puglia, Italy
Intimate weddinig design
Finding the perfect venue and location is the first step in designing a stunning and timeless wedding weekend. We do things differently; we don’t just pick the venue we have seen 100 times or whatever is easiest. We don’t put a time limit on this part of our process, we search high and low to provide our clients with options that are one-of-a-kind and perfectly suited for the experience they want to share with their favorite people. And we’ll go to the most remote and undiscovered parts of any country to find something that feels perfect.
Last fall, we had the privilege of working at Masseria Moroseta – a minimal and elegant farmhouse tucked away in the rural countryside of Puglia, Italy. This modern masseria, a reimagined Italian farmhouse, is the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful respite from the hustle of high-profile engagements and busy corporate culture. This luxury Italian venue strikes the perfect balance of nature, good food, design and beauty and we couldn’t have been more inspired by the tranquil, peaceful atmosphere of this Ostuni estate.
When designing the color palette for this venue, we wanted it to feel calm and lush while also having a subtle pop that simultaneously elevated and complemented the space. So we opted for shades of blue and lavender to create contrast and visual interest – it’s one of the many ways we made this design unique while staying cohesive to the space throughout the ceremony and reception.
For our ceremony design at Masseria Moroseta, we pulled inspiration from the space’s natural surroundings, like the soft olive grove greens and the smooth texture of white stone. We loved the rural simplicity of this Italian wedding venue, so we opted for an understated ceremony aisle with clusters of soft white orchids and blue delphiniums, leading to lush floral arrangements of ivory roses and blue hydrangeas spilling from clay pots to frame our couple. The earthly stoneware mirrored the natural setting of the venue, while creating a soft, organic cascade from the pool backdrop to the ceremony site.
In the reception space, we brought in freestanding chandeliers to create a moody, ethereal vibe with modern and high-end undertones. Our earthy-inspired Italian wedding vision came to life with natural linen textures, vintage Italian garden chairs, dynamic periwinkle florals and soft candlelight. The elevated chandeliers added dramatic flair to the tablescape arrangements of fennel fronds, stone and monobloom floral clusters. Every detail from the crystal glassware to the soft textured detailing on the linen napkins elevated a sense of refined luxury at this modern Italian masseria.
Designing a space to not only compliment but also contrast the surrounding venue is one of our specialties. And as the sun dipped below the Mediterranean Sea and our chandeliers illuminated the intimate alfresco dining setup, we knew this experience designing at Masseria Moroseta was one we would never forget.
