Stunning, Fall Wedding in the Forest | Elizabeth + Steve

Loloma Lodge is a really special place… nestled deep in the Willamette Forest, right along the Mckenzie River, it is the ideal Pacific North West venue! When Elizabeth and Steve decided to tie the knot there, we were over the moon excited and already bursting with ideas for their fall, forest wedding.

The couple decided they wanted to keep their day low-key and very intimate, so their guest list consisted of just their immediate families.

With only 18 people attending, they were able to forgo the designated ceremony site at the lodge, and instead, chose a tiny opening right on the river bank! The groom built a gorgeous a-frame arbor and Good Seed Floral covered it in a variety of gold, rust, blush & maroon blooms. To complete their ceremony space, we added a vintage rug from Archive Rentals, tying in all of their colors.

Being it was October in Oregon, we originally planned for their dinner and reception to be indoors. But, when the weather forecast suddenly read 70 and sunny, we made a game time decision and moved the whole thing outside!! Using the picnic tables from Loloma, we created one long continuous table and covered it in organic, linen table cloths from the bride! We positioned the tables below the existing cafe lights at the lodge, which Good Seed Floral draped with greenery and flowers, adding to the cozy, forest vibe.

For this intimate, fall tablescape we selected a variety of speciality tabletop rentals from Archive, including amber goblets, brushed gold silverware and organic stoneware plates. We used a mix of two different shades of orange taper candles to create height and created custom dinner menus for an extra personal touch. Scattered between the stunning centerpiece arrangements from Goodseed, were a variety of wine and whiskey bottles, selected by the bride and groom. The bride’s mother even handmade small ceramic shot glasses, engraved with “E+S'“ and the couple’s wedding date.

We love creating a tablescape that people don’t want to leave, and that’s exactly what we achieved for this event! They dined, chatted, drank and laughed around the table until the stars came out, eventually moving to the bonfire for smores, sparklers and (spiked) hot cocoa!

Dylan Howell perfectly captured all of the beautiful moments and love that this day encompassed! From start to finish, it was truly pure joy and we could not be more honored to have been a part of this incredible wedding!
